What is LMES?
The Le Mans Endurance Series was first announced in June 2003 at the Le Mans 24 hours. The Series, which consists of four 1000 km races, is intended to re-establish endurance racing as one of the top motor racing disciplines. The promoters who are fully aware of the heritage of endurance racing are intent on recreating the environment of the former great races when drivers and manufacturers were competing with each other with full respect for the sport and sportsmanship. The dual aims of LMES, personified by the Le Mans 24 Hours, are exceptional performance and the promotion of team spirit.
