Biography


  • 1990 - 1991 competed in both the European 100cc Karting Championship and the French 100cc Karting Championship earning third place in both series.

  • 1992 - Took his first title as Junior Champion in Renault Clio Cup finishing fifth overall in the Championship.

  • 1993 - Runner up in the Formula Renault Championship.

  • 1994 - First year in French Formula 3, finishing sixth in the Championship Jean-Philippe Belloc took the title.


  • 1994 - 24 Hours of Le Mans - teammates: Patrick Bourdais, Olivier Couvreur - DNF suspension.

  • 1995 - Returned to French Formula 3 with Team Winfield. Runner up in the Championship, with three wins, seven podiums and four poles - Laurent Redon took the title.

  • 1996 - First year in British Formula 3 with Team Promatecme Renault he finished fourth in the Championship, Ralph Firman took top honours.

  • 1997 - Returned to British Formula 3 with Promatecme Renault finishing runner up in the Championship with no less than seven wins, nine podiums and six poles. The title went to Johnny Kane. More

  • 1997 - First F1 test with Williams Renault in Barcelona. More

  • 1998 - FIA International Formula 3000 Championship - Team West McLaren (Junior) - 12th overall - Recorded his season-best finish of fourth place at Hungaroring - the Championship was won by Juan Pablo Montoya. More

  • 1998 - Indy Lights test with top runners Dorricott Racing Team.

  • 1999 - Joined Kid Jensen Racing in the FIA International Formula 3000 Championship, finishing joint fifth with Bruno Junqueira overall, Nick Heidfeld took the title. More

  • 1999 - F1 test with BAR-Honda at Pembrey circuit in Wales.

  • 2000 - Recruited by Team D2 Super Nova in the FIA International Formula 3000 Championship, finishing runner up to Bruno Junqueira in the series standings by just three points. More

  • 2000 - 24 Hours of Le Mans team-mates: Yanick Dalmas, Jean-Philippe Belloc - DNF Oil pressure.

  • 2001 - Took part in a four-way shoot out for one of two Target Chip Ganassi Racing seats in the then CART FedEx Championship - securing the drive alongside fellow F3000 rival Bruno Junqueira.


  • 2001 - CART FedEx Championship - competed in seven races, including the Indy 500, before being controversially replaced. More


  • 2002 - European ASCAR Championship for Ray Mallock Limited - took the title in both his and the team's first year in the series. More

  • 2002 - 24 Hours of Le Mans team-mates: Stephane Sarrazin and Franck Montagny for Team Oreca, Playstation 2. Qualified in fourth and finished sixth.

  • 2002 - FIA Sportscar winner at Estoril.

  • 2002 - DTM Testing - Opel.

  • 2003 - FIA International F3000 Championship.

  • 2003 - 24 Hours of Le Mans, finished ninth overall for Pescarolo Sport, PlayStation 2. More

  • 2003 - Australia V8 Supercars Team Dynamik. More

  • 2004 - 24 Hours of Le Mans team-mates: Sebastien Bourdais, Emmanuel Collard - DNF Engine failure. More

  • 2004 - Le Mans Endurance Series with Creation Autosportif - three Pole Positions and two Podiums.


  • 2004 - American Le Mans Series with Creation Autosportif - front row at Road Atlanta and Pole Position at Laguna Seca, the season finale.

  • 2005 - LMES Championship with the Creation Autosportif Team: 2 pole positions and 3 podiums. 6 th appearance at the Le Mans 24 Hours.

  • 2006 - LMS and ALMS Championship with the Creation Autosportif Team: 2 pole positions and 2 podiums. 7 th appearance at the Le Mans 24 Hours with Pescarolo Sport: 5 th .

  • 2007 - LMS Championship with the Peugeot Team Total: 5 pole positions and 3 wins. 8 th appearance at the Le Mans 24 Hours finishing 3rd.

Nicolas Minassian born in Marseilles , France on 28th February 1973 currently lives in England with wife Jayne and drives the Team Peugeot Total 908HDi FAP in the Le Mans Series
